Travel v2.0 oops we did it again

Oh, hi there family and friends.

If you're reading this you've probably heard that we have, again, resigned our jobs, sold most of our things and are on the road again!

Many of you have asked the why, when and where's. So let's give this another go, huh?

Backpack travel is something we both hold dear. And the older we get, the more we realize the technicalities of backpack travel become fractionally less fun. The time is now to see some new places, meet people, eat food, unplug and slow down.

We're ~1,730 weeks into the 4,000 weeks we get on this spinning rock--if we're lucky. We want to experience everything we can while we're still mobile and healthy.

So hopefully you're nodding your head and not shaking your fist in the air at us lazy millennials. The next question you might have is when does this begin and when does it end? 

We have one answer: next week! No time like now. We are keeping the end open. We'll be back early summer for my sister's wedding. Then we have some wiggle room on what's next. There's an apartment, passports and Isle Royale in the mix.

So, our general plan is: Madison to Florida to Arizona to Los Angeles to Tokyo to Singapore. And that's all that's booked so far. 

We are thinking Singapore to Thailand to Vietnam to Cambodia. Then home for a my sister's wedding, some apartment renovations then Isle Royale and Luxembourg and maybe more. But that's all TBD as we go

What we treasure even more than travel is our family and our friends who bring joy to our lives and put up with our restless souls. We are so lucky to have you all in our lives and we can't wait to share stories and laughs here (digitally, with a 12 hour time zone difference) until we can properly catch up in person.

Oktoberfest- Munich, Germany

*photos at the bottom* EIN PROSIT! Munich, we made it! After getting situated at our hotel, Linds and Emily went into the city to look for a dirndl--the traditional Bavarian women’s attire. They found one for Emily. Elisa, our German friend was kind enough to give Lindsey her’s to wear for the festival. After getting our bearings. We made our game plan for the next day, arrive early and scope out a table. We did not have reservations, so you have to walk up and stake your claim early. Nothing like an 11am one-liter beer! Prost! Another spoiler alert, drinking 6% beer in one-liter servings catches up with you fast. We were done before dinner time. We had three liters, and I’m not exactly sure how we made it back to the hotel :) it felt like we were back in college!
